Event Details

This is a reoccurring event. It is next occurring on December 15, 2021 10:00 am

Ever wondered what safeguarding is? Or how you would know if a child was at risk from abuse or neglect? Ever wondered where you could go to help them? What are your responsibilities as an individual, a group or a volunteer when it comes to keeping children safe? If you have ever asked any of these questions, this free training is for you and will include:

  • An introduction to safeguarding
  • How to recognise the signs that a child might be being abused or neglected
  • An introduction on what to do if you suspect abuse might be happening
  • Explain what your responsibilities are as a community group, a volunteer, staff member or member of the public to help keep children safe.

Your choice of dates for Safeguarding Children on Wednesdays at 10am are:

6th October 2021 or

15th December 2021

Once you have completed all four training modules (Communications, Boundaries and Confidentiality, Equality and Diversity, and Safeguarding), you will receive a Volunteer Passport, which gives you access to our volunteering newsletter crammed full of exciting features and exclusive volunteering events and the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of charities and voluntary organisations in Slough.
