The cost of this course is £125 but free to Slough Charities and Frontline staff.

This session will consist of 2 modules, and interactive breakout rooms for some exercises.

Agenda:

Morning Session: 10am-12.30pm ( Break midway)

Module 1 – The aim of this module is to provide an overview of the benefits available for those of working age. By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify entitlement to benefits for those of working age
  • Explain what the Work Capability Assessment is
  • Explain the main conditions of entitlement for Personal Independence Payment
  • Identify who is entitled to Carer’s Allowance

Lunch Break: 12.30pm – 1.30pm

Afternoon Session: 1.30pm-4pm ( Break midway)

Module 2 – The aim of this module is to provide an overview of Universal Credit by the end of this session, you will be able to

  • Describe the criteria for Universal Credit
  • Assess entitlement to Universal Credit
  • Identify work-related responsibilities
  • Explain the claims and assessment process for Universal Credit
