Getting Organisations on Google Maps

The council’s adult social care team, in partnership with Slough Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS), is encouraging all community organisations and charities to increase awareness and visibility of themselves by registering on Google Maps.

The idea behind this initiative is to make it easier for residents to independently find and make use of the diverse range of services available to them throughout Slough.

Additionally it can enable organisations to signpost the people they are supporting to relevant groups and services.

Adding an organisation to Google Maps is very straight forward. To help organisations with this process, the council has created a series of short YouTube tutorial videos to take people through the steps.

You can find the videos by searching for ‘How to promote community services using Google Maps’ at www.youtube.com.
