National Trust Cliveden Estate Fundraising Champion Volunteer

Are you a natural at sales, someone who loves meeting new people and enjoys working as a team? Our Fundraising Champions are great at encouraging visitors to help, boosting our funds through selling raffle tickets so we can do more good work, this year at Cliveden we are raising funds to restore the Generator House. It’s not about the hard sell. It’s a warm and friendly conversation and a simple fundraising ask of £1 to the conservation of our collections. The fact they could win a prize helps, too! Giving great customer service to the people you meet, our visitors will be asking lots of questions about Cliveden and the Generator House conservation project. Excitingly, you can direct people to see for themselves where their donation will help to restore the Generator House. You’ll be proactive and confident in approaching our visitors and engaging them in conversation and your work. Ensuring every visitor receives a welcome with a smile when they arrive. Understanding that we’re a charity, why we have a raffle and learning about the wider aims of National Trust. Following regulations around selling of raffle tickets and being accountable for all money you receive Wearing official National Trust ID and being a proud ambassador of the Cliveden Portfolio. You are important in making sure things run as smoothly and safely as possible – this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures. There might occasionally be some other activities that are of interest to you, that we could use your help with The role will suit you if: Confident at approaching people and selling to members of the public.
